The beach in Whiteway, Trinity Bay has several attractive feature. near the p;ace where the brook rushes into the ocean, tangles of beach peas grow among the smooth stones. there you can gaze at the expanse of ocean where Shag Rock juts into view. I was inspired, however, to include the man-made features on this beach in my painting. The freshly painted boat leads your eye to the old weathered boards of the Burgess fishing store (a shed for storing fishing gear), which was once one of many along this stretch of shoreline.
