I don't usually have toast for breakfast. As you can see I have ice cream instead!! Who wouldn't want to start Toast Tuesday or any other day without one or two of these little Tasty Toasties? So easy to make! Lots of fun, too, especially when the entire family gets involved!
Making these Tasty Toasties has really been my jam lately! I start with toasted gluten-free multi-grain bread, but most breads, pancakes, etc. would work, too. Next, I use a cookie cutter to cut out the shapes. Then I and add some of my favourite spreads that I usually prepare the day before: Delicious fruit compotes, choco-almond butter and fruitilicious yogurt spreads. Next comes the addition of a final topping and sprinkles. They're all so yummy! And these Tasty Toasties can come in many different shapes, too!
So here's the scoop on the Tasty Toasties featured in the photo above (L to R, starting at the top):
Tasty Toasties could be served for dessert, too! Sweetened only with fruit and/or maple syrup. And you could even add a drizzle of dark chocolate or some other delight, such as salted caramel, or coconut cream, if you prefer.
